Looking to help bring more young people into construction and the skilled trades? A new federal funding opportunity could help your organization create paid, entry-level work placements for youth aged 15–30.

The Team Canada Strong Youth Placements program will support projects that help young people gain hands-on experience, develop skills, build professional networks, and take their first steps toward careers and apprenticeships in the skilled trades.

$880 million investment over five years
Projects can run for up to 24 months
Supports paid placements in construction and trades-related occupations
Helps create pathways toward apprenticeships and long-term careers
Applications are open September 17 – October 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. EDT
