Fall Protection Training

Learning Outcomes
After completion of this training course, participants will:
1 Better appreciate the value of fall protection training,
2 Understand the various roles and responsibilities of entities identified in OHS legislation and their involvement when using fall protection equipment,
3 Be aware of the various sections of the OHS legislation that identify requirements with respect to Fall Protection or working at heights,
4 Understand the requirement of a Fall Protection Plan, what is required and how it can be developed,
5 Understand how to perform Hazard Assessments, the hierarchy of Controls and how to apply them, as well how to develop Safe Work Procedures,
6 Understand various types of fall protection systems, equipment and components (including fall arrest systems),
7 Understand the forces resulting from a fall and the clearances required to ensure safety of the worker,
8 Understand the use, care, storage, maintenance and inspection of fall protection systems
